Christmas Inchie Swap

So my friend Cassie put together a little group on fb for those of us who wanted to try and make inchies, which is a huge trend now-a-days.  I never did them before and thought I would give it a try.

The rules were they have to be 1in x 1in (I know, obvious because of the name.  But just thought I would clarify hehehe)  There were 8 of us in the group and we had to make 12 for each person.  We decided we didn't want 12 of the same image so we asked that you have a variety.

I decided to go vintage on my inchies.  It was allot of fun deciding how to embellish all of them.  I did my inchies in 4 groups of 3 that coordinate.  Here are the pics, hope you like :)  I do have a few extra sets so if you want one let me know, if I have them still I will mail them out :)

Here is a group shot of all of them keep scrolling for the pics of the sets.

These are my religious ones.  I decorated them with gold ribbon and a gold jewel for the star, I think these are my favorite in the bunch.

This set is decorated with pearls.

These I added feathers too, they are much prettier in person, I was happy with how they turned out.

Lastly this set I embellished with a glittery tool.

Sorry about the flash in the pics, I am not good at taking pictures of really small stuff at night apparently :)
Thanks for spending a little time with me today and I hope you like what I made.

Christmas Banner Swap

So today I wanted to share with you my letters for a Merry Christmas banner swap.  One of my friends Lestina came up with the idea and put it together.  I love this swap idea.  I had to make the letters H and A...(obvious I know considering your looking at the pics)....but we had to make them 11 3/4 long and fit to page.  We could decorate however we wanted but my backgrounds had to be dk green with a 4 inch letter in cranberry.  Lestina let us all know what color our main background had to be for each letter.

We all voted on our colors.  The choices were the traditional red and green, blue and white, and the dk green and cranberry.  I think all would have been beautiful!

Well I hope you like my letters, they were fun to make, I will post pics of the whole banner when I get it back.

So does anyone else scrap banners for the holidays?  I have never hung one before or even made one so I was excited to participate and try something new.  Share pics of your banner or some banner hanging tips if you have any :)

Thanks for spending time with me today,

I am Starting A New Adventure!

Well I am pretty excited to share my new blog with all of you.  I hope whoever stops by will find it somewhat inspiring and amusing.

For some info:  Scrapping In Heels started because I have two GREAT hobbies that I love.
1) Scrapbooking of course!  I love playing with paper.  I do have to admit that I am mainly a SVG user and not much into the Cricut cartridges.  I do most of my cutting on my Cricut ( even though my sweet husband bought me a Cougar Black Cat....I know even I am hanging my head in shame....I just never figured out how to use it :(  So if you know any good tutorial sites out there to help me end my ties with Mr. Cricut, I am all ears!)
Anyway...back to what I was saying. I love doing all sorts of stuff with paper and I love trying new things and techniques so I hope we can learn some neat ideas from each other.

And my second hobby is

SHOES!  I love shoes, I love all shoes, I have shoe soup on the bottom of my closet and boxes upon boxes of shoes all over my house!  My husband guesses that I have over 400 pairs, not counting the two big boxes of them in the basement I never unpacked after we moved in :)

So along with some of my paper creations, I will also share some of my favorite shoes, or they might end up being not so favorite after I wear them hehehe.  I hope you enjoy my little part of the blogging world, I am excited to see where this adventure could lead.
