Happy Birthday to Lisa and Becky Blog Hop!!!

This hop is dedicated to Lisa Peters and her daughter Becky who are lucky to share a birthday!!! How awesome is that to share a birthday as a mother and daughter which is what we are celebrating today!!!! If you remember, Lisa became a first-time grandma this year and Becky is the mother of Maxwell .... Let's Celebrate!!!!! Bring on the cake!!! Watch out for the candles!!!! Let's have some balloons and not forget the confetti!!!!

You ask for prizes, well, you're just in lucky as Lisa is also the proud owner of Scrapping with Lisa's Designs and is offering $25 in FREE files!!! Woo hoo!!!! To qualify for the prize, you must stop and visit all the stops along the way and remark! Don't forget to wish Lisa and Becky a Happy Birthday too!!!

I'm sooo glad you were able to stop by and visit but I don't want you to miss a single party along the way!!!! The hop begins with Lisa at http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/. If you have arrived from <insert previous blog here> then let the party begin here!!!!

My project for you today is a mini CD swap I took place in. I will share with you my CD I made for the swap then show you everyone elses. The theme was Happy Birthday and it had to be for a boy or a girl. I had never done an altered CD page before so this was a learning experience, to say the least. Here is what I came up with.

Here is side 1

I put pop dots under the balloons so they would stand up a little.

Here is side 2

I made this page so that the top of the gift will pull out and you can add photos or jounaling.

Well here is a quick look at all the other CD's that were in my swap group.

Scrapping with Lisa's Designs DT blog hop

Welcome to the Team Queen bi-weekly blog hop for Scrapping With Lisa’s Designs.

Team Queen of my Craftroom is working on the same bird files as Team Princess used last week. We really wanted to show the versatility of the wonderful files that Lisa creates.

This week the team was provided the files and asked to use as many of them in their project as possible. We wanted to see one cohesive project. I think you will be pleased with the work the team has done, and I hope you will take the time to fly to my Sister Design Team Members blogs and see what they have created with this file. I am sure you will be pleased.

One nice thing about Paper Piecing is the ability to cut the files out with a machine, or you can cut them out by hand if you do not have the capabilities of using your machine. Lisa provides digital images of each pattern as well. This means that you can print and color as you desire.

Today I am sharing a project me and my daughter worked on together.  Every year at our cabin on the lake we have little birdies make their nests behind out front porch light.  Alayna wanted to make a birdhouse for them to live in. Here is what we created.

Here are some close up photos of the birds.
The cow is just so cute, I loved making him!

The Robin I taped the back to a piece of wire and then the other end of the wire was secured on the underside of the birdhouse roof.

I hope you like our project, it was so much fun having a little helper this week :)  I am posting this on Mother's Day so I hope all the mothers out there had a beautiful day with your babies, no matter what the age.  We went up to our cabin and today guess who hatched, and in perfect time for this posting....
The little Robins hatched, and on Mother's Day no less.  Happy Mommy's day to mama Robin too :)

Our blog hop starts here, http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/ , so please start from the beginning and spread your wings to fly from one blog to the next and check out the wonderful Projects.
