Well I don't know what happened exactly but my post for last weeks DT theme for Creations Etc. never posted.....thank you blogger. I still wanted to share it with you all though even though I will be posting about our new theme tomorrow.
We were asked to make a LO using the colors Blue and Green. I knew exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I saw this. I have had this background paper forever and finally decided to use it.
My boys looooove catching frogs every year. So I finally made myself make them a LO to put those silly pics in. The frog on the left and the cattails and sign are from Treasure Box Designs.
I also used a cute pattern from Designs on Cloud 9, but I made a jar cut and placed it on top to make it look like he was caught hehehe.
Then I added a quilled frog and fly. I think it turned out so cute. Hope you like it. If you haven't snooped by Creations Etc and became a member yet, you really should, it is so full of GREAT inspiration and amazing women.
I will post my new DT project tomorrow, thanks for spending time with me,
Theresa

(I am ooooober excited about Cori's Store opening!)
If you came here from Charity's Blog then you are moving in the right direction. If you just happened to snoop on by Please head back to Cori's Blog and start the hop from the beginning it is so worth the time!
My project for the hop today is a wreath. I purchased the wreath at JoAnns for a few dollars. I wanted to use a branch wreath because spring here in Michigan anyway, is when everything goes brown and gloomy to full of color.
I cut the flowers with a pattern from SVG Cuts.
The butterfly I got a Michael's in the dollar bin. I thought it was so cut for this wreath to add a little color and the brightness of spring to the wreath.
I do have some blog candy for you all. I want to give the winner a gift certificate to SVG Cuts so you can buy the kit that I got these amazing flower from.
So please leave a comment and I will pick a winner with my friend Random on the sidebar there and post on Friday. Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you come back and see some more projects later. The next stop on your journey is Ava's Blog. Have fun and don't forget to do all the requirements for the grand prize.

Scrap your Scraps DT LO for Creations Etc.
Here is my LO for this weeks theme at Creations Etc. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should, they have all different groups for all different types of scrapping and mixed media so no matter what your favorite is, it will be there.
My kids to go Holy Family Catholic School here in Grand Blanc....next year my youngest two are going to start too....I am freaking out already!
The school colors are blue and gold so I went through my scrap bin and pulled out all my blue and yellows. I border punched them with my different punches and inked some edges. I layered them up and TADA all done. Super easy way to use up small scraps of paper ( some of my fav papers I have some really small scraps because I like the paper and cant get myself to throw it away....bad I know lol)
Well I hope you like my creation, thanks for stopping by and checking on me today, it is greatly appreciated,
Theresa

Mardi Gras Blog Hop
Welcome to our Mardi Gras parade. I must warn you though while you
may enjoy jumping up to catch beads, doubloons, cups, stuffed
animals--whatever! Please yell at the float riders "Throw me something,
Mister!" Bring a large, sturdy plastic or cloth bag to hold all the
treasure you'll be catching - if you try to put all of your beads around
your neck, you'll have a hard time standing up straight! Be prepared:
some people get so overcome with excitement they will occasionally jump
in front of you to grab what a rider has thrown to you. Don't get into a
tug-o-war....there are many more floats on the way! If you're from far
away, some visitors hold up a sign saying where they are from.. our
local riders love to see people from far away have a good time and will
throw to them to make sure they do!
The colors of Mardi Gras are: Purple which represents justice; Green which represents faith; and Gold which represents power.Mardi Gras is always held the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans! Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold; and adorned with long beads caught from the beautiful floats. They sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades.
Instead of beads, coconuts (which apparently is the most prized throw from floats) and other baubles, we have a great sponsor:
Sew, sit back with your beverage of choice, just keep in mind the police will be in full force watching for drunken lewdness as this is a family event! Feel free to watch in costume, as this is a festive hop!! If you have arrived here from Katie on the parade route, then you are sitting at the best seat in the house! If you have just happened to be visiting me today, don't get me wrong as I always love visitors, I would love for you to start at the beginning of our parade route at Lynne, your hostess, at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/ along with our marvelous co-hostess, Kimberly, at http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com/.
For today I made some tags. I used Treasure Box Mardi Gras Kids file. I just used the mask and hat patterns. I made some mini bead necklaces, and I cut butterfly stickers in half for the feathers.
I cut butterfly stickers in half so they could be the feathers.
Hope enjoyed my float in the parade. To continue on the parade route, Your next stop is Susan
I would love for you to throw me your comments as to my tribute to Mardi Gras!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Theresa

Creations Etc DT Post theme Red and Purple
So today is my day to post on the Creations Etc website for scrapbooking. This weeks theme is Red and Purple. Every time I think of red and purple I think of the Red Hat Society women, and I want to think that I am still waaaaay to young to be creating a LO for them just yet hehe ( I hope I do become a member when the time comes though, looks like so much fun hahaha)
Anyway, I know alot of us are lovey dovey to the max now that Valentines is over but bare with me for one more love Lo.
I love this type of trim, I bought it at JoAnns and I wish I would have gotten more when I had the chance, I cant find it in stock anymore. It comes in all colors and all sizes to, it is such a neat embellie to have on hand!
I hope you like my design, I post a new LO for Creations Etc every Wed so be sure to check back for more. If you go to the site and cannot find my LO's yet it is because there is technical difficulties with me posting on the scrapbook group page yet, so hopefully by tonight it will be up and running :)
Thanks for stopping by today, have a Great day,
Theresa

Oh I almost forgot! CallyAnn has Blog Candy! All you have to do is comment on all the blogs. She has a Stampin Up! Stamp Set and 4 yards of Twine.
Now onto the projects:
I made my Valentine Mini for Trish, I didn't mail it out till Fri so I hope she gets it soon, other wise this is a complete spoiler alert for Trish :)
I made the middle pages out of those business envelopes, by cutting the top off, that way each page will have a pocket for more tags that she can add photos or journaling to.
So here are the pages :) The first pics will be the pages and the second will be the pages with the insides pulled out.
this is the insides of page 2
Pages 3 and 4
page 5 and 6
these go behind the pic space on the page :)
page 7 doesn't have goodies on the inside but the page has space for journaling or pictures.
pages 8 and 9
Next head over to my kind friend Trish Hall who I made my mini for :)
Here is the line up in case you get lost!

Now for the blog candy, I bet you are wondering what it could
be. It will be a mini paper bag album that will come with all the
pieces you would need to assemble the mini album.
My project is a Layout I created for my husband and I. I made the DT for Creations Etc. and for my first DT project we created a Valentines Day LO. This site is just amazing, please go check it out you wont be disappointed, (here is the link for Creations Etc facebook page too.) The inspiration and members there are some of the best I have ever seen, I was honored to be chosen for their DT, I hope I can make them proud. I have never scrapped pictures of me and Mike for some reason. Probably because we always want to scrap our kids first and with 4 I kind of get lost in all they do lol. Here is my project. I got the inspiration from one of my inspirations Theinly. She made a card using this same stamp that I loved, so it got me eager to use mine :)
